Actually i don't know who made the image, we have 3 Admins with the ability to change it, i didn't do it, and I'm on the phone with mark and he didn't do it. So i think Adam did it because he was bored. And he isn't that great with Photoshop.

You should get Photoshop Elements. It costs a LOT less than the new Photoshops, but it just got the basics. (that's what I have, and it's all you need when you're startig web graphics/design)

Adam, want photoshop, ill give it to you. I use Photoshop CS2, Photoshop CS3 and Adobe After Effects. And Zoner Studio 4 and a few other programs depending on what i want to make. And your welcome, I worked hard on the links.

okay, sorry if you saw that rant earlier.
steve, I changed the settings, because I don't think the way you had it would....attract...new members. frankly, it made me want to leave as soon as possible. if there are any specific stuff you want to change, like the buttons, go ahead, but the colors were just awful before.
and thanks for the offer, I'll think about it. I downloaded GIMP yesterday, and it's been great.

but im making this one darker....

The layouts just barely darker, if darker at all. As I said before, it looks too generic. Also, please change the arrows on the scrollbar, the light grey is really annoying, because you can't tell if they're there or not. make it blend in, or have a different, more distinguishable color.

Changing the scroll bar so people can find the arrows isn't going to mess up anything.

Oh, and I agree, if I saw this forum while browsing, I'd probably turn away because of the layout.

for use IE users, the scrolllbar arrows = grey. LIGHT grey. almost non existant against the face. simple code to fix:

And, ohmygasp, it's all fixed! Very Happy

if you can't use HTML, then simply try going, and editing the scrollbar on whatever admin panel you have. Please, it's annoying the heck out of me! Sad

I did that too. if you notice the colors changing rapidly between pages, you might want to log out until we find something we like Razz

um...can you change the layout to this? that is, if other people are ok. this will be the last time i complain about the layout cuz i already hav ecomplpained way to much. it's a compromize and the menu is nice and not scrunched up

that layout I showed isn't really that feasible with this client. I don't even think I can really change the menu, except for adding stuff (like I did for Chat)

I don't think so.
and it only lets you change the image, but it has to stay 12x13 or whatever. so it shrinks oversized stuff.

the layout looks like someone ate a Mac and a crappy set of markers, chewed it up and then barfed it on the forum... darker is cleaner, the links are currently hard to see, it looks like its a wanna be mac and it needs more AMSA related icons+Graphix

lol... i have my own niceboard myself. And dont fool me into thinking that i havent been a forum coder for 4 years. It would be sad if you would create more than 10 skins.
I know a lot about HTML and coding and mostly forums...

THIS IS THE TRUTH ON HOW IT WORKS:
you can either choose 33 skins,
or create your own skin as an admin.
When you create your own skin, you CANNOT put images in it if you wanted to...
Also, suggestions are hard to do on this forum, because niceboard doesnt allow you to copy and paste codes and cool stuff.

Buddy, yeah it does, u just need to know where to look. And its not in HTML its in CSS. totally different. The layouts and skins are in CSS. So yeah. And there are areas where u can make your own HTML pages. Im going to have a meeting with Khmilinetsky on getting an area on the school server for us.

its sort of html. anyway, to learn everything about forums and CSS,
go to HERE NOW. You can create your own skin EASILY with the skin generator with images and not the boring regular colors.

I know how to make it www.amsacs.org/chatterbox or something like that but no one would listen to me...

Ive been busy with finals, if you want send me a private message or email and tell em what you want, ill go through the code and change w/e you want me to change, CSS is pretty easy.
